Even with the exact same paint code, fresh paint looks slightly different than paint that's been on a wall for years, due to sunlight and ambient air. We feather and blend new coats as far out as possible to minimize any visible transition.
Hand-applied textures — knockdown, orange peel, or hand-troweled — are organic. We match the existing pattern as closely as humanly possible, though slight variations in texture height and density are a natural result of working with existing walls.
New grout and tile carry their original factory pigment, while existing lines have absorbed years of ambient moisture and wear. We match the original grout color code whenever possible, but new grout will appear brighter until it wears in.
